Can'T Sleep

I hate it that I can't sleep,
These are not the hours
I'd care to keep,
I get so tired, with
no relief,
I swear to God, I
sometimes weep,
Awake sometimes for
seven or more days,
Puts my mind in a perpetual
purple haze
Sorry Jimi, you did amaze
The clever use of your
lyrical phrase,
You were , for me,
a musical craze,
But, back to issues,
Issues to me deep,
Oh my God, please
let me sleep!
