Can'T Lose Your Heart

I took a long walk
along a short beach
suddenly something washed
up on the sandy shore
I knelt down
and began to reach
then realized it was something
I didn't want anymore
                so, I sat myself down
                on the sun scorched sand
                blindly I stared out
                at the meticulous tide
                completely unaware of
                my still reaching hand
                and the ocean of tears
                my soul hadn't yet cried
but I couldn't sit still
no, not for very long
so, I got up and started
walking along some more
my emptiness began to sing
a melodic despairing song
and once again, my wretched heart
washed up on the shore

Wow!!!! I wasn't expecting that ending. This was sadly beautiful Christy. Once I got to the end, the picture I had in my mind changed, but it still held a wonderful scene because of your amazingly written words. This one blew me away. Wow, again.
