Been wanting to do a song similar in style to the late Barry White.  Will see what I can do with this one.

Updated it a bit on6/4/15.  I copied and pasted prior an unintended repeated verse; decided to use part of it and take part of a previous verse I wanted to reemphasize.  Trying to think up a chord progression and style to go with it, but probably not like Barry White's style as originally intended.

Each time I hold you close to me, there’s no place that I’d rather be. Each moment’s like eternity. I just wanted you to know. I just can’t hold you close enough. I really think that you’re ‘hot stuff’. If things go bad and life get’s tough, I will never let you go. I just can’t get too close to you. No greater love I ever knew. You’re in all that I say and do, in every important way. Someday you or I will be gone. How will the other carry on? I’d rather face the Great Beyond than, without you, sadly stay. Snuggling and cuddling, caressing and fondling, And all those other tender things That happen in the night. Teasing and tickling, sighing and giggling, And so much profound feeling When we hold each other tight. As long as we are side by side, both of us try to put aside Pointless doubts and selfish pride. Can’t be any other way. I just can’t hold you close enough, both fully clothed or in the buff, Love me tender or love me rough— you know I am here to stay. Snuggling and cuddling, caressing and fondling, And all those other tender things that happen in the night. Teasing and tickling, sighing and giggling, And so much profound feeling when we hold each other tight. I just can’t hold you close enough, both fully clothed or in the buff, Love me tender or love me rough— you know I am here to stay. I just can’t get too close to you. No greater love I ever knew. You’re in all that I say and do, in every important way. Snuggling and cuddling, caressing and fondling, And all those other tender things that happen in the night. Teasing and tickling, sighing and giggling, And so much profound feeling when we hold each other tight.

Belated thanks, Debbie. Some of my better lyrics are Something You Left Behind, Sitting On A Cloud, Lady Luck Stomped Out, Blow More Bubbles, and Tropical Getaway.

That's a very charming comment! The last verse that you previously read wasn't intended to be there. I ended up using part of that one and part of another verse to give some umph to the ending. I would value your input about the ending.
