Canone Inverso

In every
corner of my
soul you
left your presence

As I
walk down
the aisle I
hear your
footsteps haunting
me and your
laughter
echoing from
wall to wall, so I
turn and discover
you are
there unseen

Overwhelmed by the
need to see
your image, I frantically
search every
room
for your
ghost sitting
somewhere but it
vanishes every time sneaking
inside my
chest, all is
empty yet full
of you

I sob and
choke in pain gasping
through memories and
regrets about our
time
together till I
feel your eyes and mind seeing
my world through
me, and my hands
skimming over your
face from a distance

Your presence left
you
in every
corner of my soul.
