Candy Crush Dreams and Pandemic Blues

Sitting alone, chilled in unstirred colds olive green liquid flows to the earth lemon greens with lime yellow folds cover all smiles, stomachs increasing their girth; candy crush dreams, visions of color flow sour gray skies, storm clouds streaming by three, four, fives in a discrete row; follow the arrows, only this way to go stay apart, six feet away, wave a quick hello, dance in the brief light of the sun's play just another day, what day is it anyway? Hold back the fear, play a solitary game or two while living in the time of pandemic blues.

I liked this because I hated CANDY CRUSH the game for almost since its first version (a decade?). Yet a poem written this year spoke about the glorious colors & break from CHESS the SAGA offers. Of course, your link to Pandemic & SHUTDOWN points to "what day is today?" shalom, shalOM!

I can relate DM. Our Aloha spirit has been hidden under a mask! A well written poem that we all can relate to right now. Kudos! xxoo

Love the title's implications and the whole poem. Kind of how I feel, expressed so poetically. Thanks, D.M. :) Gershon
