CANDY CANE STICKS bent little crooks red and white stripes help us swallow Christmascrass hype succor sugar comforts stuffed stocking taboo peppermint sticks disabling treats bow to licking lips spry little hooks that stoop to bingecringe stick sickly sweet decaying teeth succor sugar comforts stuffed stocking taboo tastebuds tingle sleighbells jingle cell-o-feigns freed Candy Cane Christmascrass creed © Kim van Breda—1 December 2015

Love your satirical write Kim - these canes are something I've never eaten - they do look pretty - as children we only had chocolate decorations on our tree :-) hugs jan xx

I've seen them on the Island this year - they may have been here for some years but we only ever had chocolate decorations:-) hugs jan xx

Thank you Jan for your kind comment. Where I grew up we didn't have them either. Here in the USA... it's like the stores are erupting with Red and White Candy sticks :) ~~X~~
