Candles
Light a candle, the past has passed,
Say your prayers, a life is gone,
A moment of silence, free at last,
The wick burns out, into a new dawn.
What was once is no more,
Was to be, a memory,
Could have been, broken on the floor,
A decade that felt like a century.
The darkness breaks, filled with light,
The monster, heavy, and gripping,
Releases, doesnt put up a fight,
As the sun shines on a new beginning,
The light of life burns anew,
Fire re-lit, Phoenix wings embrace,
Stand tall and proud, take in the view,
You are blessed, go forward with grace.
Light a candle, the past has passed,
Say your prayers, a life is gone,
A moment of silence, free at last,
The wick burns out, into a new dawn.
