Candle burning on the hearth Dancing flames light the dark Spreading scents of lilacs, pears Calming balm, assuage my cares Send your fragrance out her way Return to me with her someday On the breeze of early spring When bluebirds pass this way again I'll be waiting for her here With bated breath to call her "dear" Upon my heart may she alight Her presence ending this long night And love her? Always! Without doubt Long past when your flames go out Happy tears from me will fall The lake out back will catch them all There'd be enough to fill and sate My longing thirst would then abate Quenched and satisfied at last To pine for her is in the past

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, b.ut have everlasting life." Be blessed.
