Candle Light
Thinking alone in this candle light
Debating whether or not to pick a fight
Wishing instead I was making love
Shining as bright as the stars above
Hoping that what he feels is truly and honestly real
I know in my heart there is more than this
For certain I can feel it in his sweet kiss
Can he open up as wide as the vast blue sea?
And let himself be all that he can be?
Sitting here waiting for him to call
But knowing it is going to be one long haul
Driving along this vast nation
What exactly is he afraid of facing?
The candle begins to drip
Please don't let us lose this relationship
To extinguish the flame that had once lit the candle
Is this relationship more than he can handle?
