Candle

Such a lonely night as this
dark shadows cast from my candle
brushing along my room
Tis the moon outside my window
daunting in her beauty
but how I long for you
My head rests on my pillow
But beside me lays bare
Somehow in my thoughts
linger your appearance
But in my hands
lays the empty space
meant for your being
I await for the next fall of the sun
where you come back into my realm
and my thoughts turn into reality
my bed shared with my love
and my candle blown out
by the softness from your lips

This poem has a nice soft cotton cozy feel to it, and seems as though it was written in the Victorian era.
