Cancer
This poem was written by a middle schooler. Please comment with kindness. I am only the teacher.
Cancer
My third eye would see a world without cancer
Yes, there are worse things in the world, hunger and war
But they all have an answer
Not so much for cancer, which just takes and takes more
War ends
Cancer just tends
To the fire of loneliness in a patient's heart
The tart
Sour taste of despair
Skin that's much too fair
Limbs to thin to bear
Falling down
A constant frown
On the face that lacks positivity
Because there is positively
No hope
No rope
To grab on to
My third eye would see a world without cancer
Cancer gave me a new color scheme
