Cancer

How do you comfort the unknown?

Is it some form of diabolic presence
or fate?
What are we destined for

and to suffer through?

Isn't agony enough?

Isn't fate rainbows, butterflies and happy thoughts?

Think again, darling.

The world is strenuous,
problematic
and troublesome

a series of a thousand empty promises

a cure for something devastating.

I can't fathom.

I can't comprehend

or see this crucial lesson

how and why,
why and how

do emotions lead to suffering,
an arbitrary solution-

How does one believe in destiny
when it destructs

and leaves you wondering why

Cancer, the scourge of modern man; you have asked some hard questions for which there are only hard answers. My sister is going through it now, her children and grandchildren are suffering, too. Makes one think. Have a great day.

Thank you Phil. I appreciate your words. I hope your sister fights it. Unfortunately, I just lost my mother, it was a long battle. Hope you have a good day, hug those you love!
