Can You See the Stars

In this big dark world,
All I can think about is the stars.
Every star is a burning ball of fire,
Every fire is a passion.
This passion that burns through you,
It makes you shine.

In this world all I can think about is the stars.
Not the celebrities you see on TV,
But the ones in our lives.
The people who you have been to hell and back with,
The person who you know is going to change the world,
And the person who changed your world.

When you look at the stars, what do you see?
Do you see the brightness in this dark world,
or do you only see the darkness with specs of light that are eventually gone.
But what you don’t know is they are never gone,
Sometimes those little specs seem gone and so far away.
But what you don't know is they are never gone,
They are just hidden but those little specs will always come back.

The closer you get,
the better you can see them.
Away from the city up on the highest mountain,
You can see the colors in the night sky.
You can see the brightness the stars bring into this dark world.
If you could see the stars the way I do you’d think of them too.
