Can You See Me
Can you see me
As I stand waiting
For the day you recognize
I am the one you have been searching for
Yes I pray the day will come
When you open your eyes
and finally see me
As the one who was meant for you
Can you hear me
As I stand waiting
Silent in the dark loneliness of my world
Hoping one day to feel the comfort of your loving arms around me
Would you love me
If you could see me
For what I would be
If you could see me
Yet with lips sealed
I am found standing in silence
Seen bland and without color
Pasted upon the stale wall of observation
Longing for you,,,, yet even more so for myself.......to see the color within.
Life’s not easy
with its maybes
and it’s “if onlys”
