Can You Not Err Me On the Side of Goodness

oh, hold me and stifle me
and make me be still
let me rail and
tell and tell and tell;
then gently say
"it will be o.k."

be a friend and look
at me in a goodly way
when i err on the side
of being an idiot
act as if you do not
see and i will do the
same for you when your
head is stuck up the
same ole tree...

tell me, quell me, paint
me in a circle of sweetness
and carry me within your
palm of goodness
extending  to me the
hope you give to those
you love in the family
of your orgin

brush me, blush me
shine my face with your
lemon juices and ointments
that i may live a little
longer due to your ministrations
of keeping the old skeletal
stalker away from my door

trick me in to believing
i am worthy and spray my
behived blondness with
your goodness and kindhearted
acceptance of a good soul
in purgatory
