Can You Loan Me Forty Thousand
I’ll breed shorthorns in Siberia if you can spare some money.
Fifty thousand ought to be enough to start.
I can email you if I need more.
I know I do not know anything about shorthorns yet
But I can surely learn.
Will you at least think about it?
Pause….
If you pay for an agricultural degree, I could learn about them.
Loans and scholarships?
I would not be comfortable with that.
I’d have to pay them back, right?
Two years later….
I am going to be a rock star.
Could you loan me forty thousand to get started?
How about two hundred dollars a month for guitar lessons?
Is there any degree you are willing to pay for?
Without expecting to be paid back?
What kind of a neighbor are you?
I do not have any money.
Paying you back would defeat the purpose of asking a rich guy in the first place.
