Can You Imagine

Can you imagine being the parent of an eighteen-year-old son or daughter Who marries, and jumps in a covered wagon to head west, not today, but before telephones, or railroads, or any other reliable form of communication? Can you imagine hugging your child goodbye, knowing you will probably never see her again, understanding that you might not even receive a measly letter? Pioneer families; a brave and courageous lot.
