Can You Hear Me

Can you hear me?
Your womb is clean yet your heart is dirty
Its only been a week and you already want to get rid of me
Cant you at least allow me to see your face for a second?
Oh mother can you hear me?
How can you be this cruel?
Ever thought of other women who want children?
Oh mother why are you killing me?
What did I do to deserve this?
Can you hear me?
Your womb is warm
Your heart is cold
Oh mama please get rid of those pills
Hello! Can you hear me?
I know you were raped
I know you are bitter
But mama I didn't rape you
Those thugs raped you
I never asked for any of this
Can you hear me?
Flush those abortion pills mama
You will love me as time goes
You will love me from head to toes
I promise not to cause any chaos
Oh mama I'm begging you
Please hear me
How will you live knowing you killed an innocent soul?
Can you hear me?
Hello! Anybody there?
Can you hear me mommy?

Bukiwe,Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@

I feel deeply for both the woman and the child. So many women are put into a position where this choice must be made. You have written quite the controversial poem. Welcome, Bukiwe, to Soup. Controversy thrives here. Poetry is meant to provoke, at times. This site is user-friendly, but it can still take some time to get comfortable with its many links. It has many dedicated members and a full library of poetry just waiting for YOU to read :)
