Can You Forgive Me?

I don't know if what I did was right?
I don't know if what I did was wrong?
In my heart, I felt it was the right thing to do
But then I looked at you
Your eyes filled with tears
Your smile was no more
You said it was ok
But I know your heart I just tore
Can you forgive me for what I've done
You said you love me and I love you
Just in a different way than you do
No one will ever fill the space in my heart that you did
No one will ever make me happier than you
That is why I had to do what I did
Or did I
Was I just making an excuse because I was scared
I think so
And now you're gone for good
I don't know what else to do except
To ask you to please forgive me
For breaking our hearts
