Can We Cope

A drop of rain upon my face A tear from God's own eye? He questions things about His world The things that make Him cry What happened to "In God We Trust"? Where is our sense of grace? What will He have to say to us When we come face to face? He doesn't ask for much from us Just live as His word says A tiny thing to do for Him To lift Him up in praise Yes! Jesus is the Son of God Our only ray of hope Without Him in our daily lives I wonder, Can We Cope? Let's tell the world about His love From sea to shiny sea Tis all He really asks from us A simple Godly plea Are we too busy to take on This simple easy task? Can we make time to praise our Lord? Or let this moment pass? I pray with all my heart and soul That we will praise His name! In glowing loving terms to all That willingly exclaim Yes! Jesus is the Son of God Our only ray of hope Without Him in our daily lives I wonder, Can We Cope? Can we cope without His lasting love? Can we really, really cope? And if we shun His glorious name Is there truly any hope? Should we stand up to praise His name Or go to bended knee? And bow our heads in reverent awe For all the world to see I say, Stand up, let's take our stand And praise our Savior's name And shout Hosanna's to the world Being grateful that He came! Yes! Jesus is the Son of God Our only ray of hope Without Him in our daily lives I wonder, Can We Cope?

Dearest George, what a beauty this is. Created with such love, insight and imagery. It is good to see that you are still producing wonderful pieces for us to enjoy. Though I have been absent from PS for a few years, it is good to be back and, most especially, to find this most lovely poem of inspiration from you. Be Blessed, Neva
