Can Poetry... Be a She?

There always is a need to speak
To speak with one… no one if it matters
Often moments profoundly weak
If words… if only there are enough letters!

If I only know poetry to be
Is poems not… unrealized diary?
Yet… words I need see
To justify a little but a memory

And did I know she became?
Becoming a believing being to be with
A someone… to shield me from shame
That no one I never knew… to live

There… I spoke to her with words
Words spoken with never a love to pen
And… she heard
For every one letter… be written when

Gifted a she… I speak
If to matter… let poetry be she
Moments unfoundedly weak
If only… I know poetry to be
