Can I Buy Extra Words

My brain is on holiday Sure wish it would alert me I'm cruising along having a ball Then WHAM!!! “Sorry, I'm on holiday” Doesn't happen often to me But when it does, I freak out What if in my remaining years I never write another poem Yikes! What a calamity that would be Still got lots to write about I think I have... I know I have... I'm sure I have But what happened??? Something is short circuiting my thought box Write the first line, then scrap it Write the first line, then scrap it Write the first line, then scrap it Help!!! Someone please tell me what to do Have the “thought police” intervened Have I exceeded yearly the word count already It's only April! Please oh great overseer of verboseness If I have exceeded my limited Can I buy extra words for the year I'll pay big dollars... © Jack Ellison 2014

Not to worry Jack...there's a simple solution. Write the rest of the poem first and leave the first verse for last :) But in case the problem keeps on recurring, Soup will soon be issuing coupons which can be then exchanged with bonus words. // paul

Never fear! Dragon's here! He said to tell you... If the first line won't come out... put it aside and pick another topic for the day! Frankly, I think it means... It's Fiesta Time! Need to get out there and party hardy! Experience new inspiring things... Go with the flow and find where it will take you! Now, for me, Fiesta Time is more like a visit to the local McDonalds' to watch and listen to the kids, Hubby's ideas... and to watch Dragon's crazy shanigans! Think I need another road trip! LOL

Ha ha, you'll buy extra words for the year, oh Jack you crack me up my friend! I know you'll find the words, they are out there floating freely and waiting for you to grab them and put them together into a poem! Just like how you wrote this tremendous write! I surely loved reading this awesome poem here this morning! What a brilliant piece, Great Work!!
