Can I Borrow Your Wings So I Can Fly
The weight of the world is on me and I want to hide
Hover in love and feel peace when I glide
I’m so low I cant even see the bottom floor
I need your help to get out so I can soar
Can I borrow your wings so I can fly
Rise like a bird up towards the sky
Leave the world behind that’s full of tears
Let me feel the power so I can beat by fears
I promise to return them to you the next day
But if my pain returns I’ll need them again to be ok
Let me rise above the clouds so I can leave the hate
Please help me to climb before it’s to late
I won’t look back on the sorrow that’s always there
I’ll enjoy the peaceful view it simply doesn’t compare
Can I borrow your wings so I can fly
Rise like a bird up towards the sky
Leave the world behind that’s full of tears
Let me feel the power so I can beat by fears
I promise to return them to you the next day
But if my pain returns I’ll need them again to be ok
If you need me I can dive down and carry you away
So you can leave your misery behind for another day
Forget your troubles be free and have some fun
Dry your eyes and heal your soul with the rays of the sun
Can I borrow your wings so I can fly
Rise like a bird up towards the sky
Leave the world behind that’s full of tears
Let me feel the power so I can beat by fears
I promise to return them to you the next day
But if my pain returns I’ll need them again to be ok
