Can I borrow your soul just for the day
I need it to get into heaven and hopefully stay
Yours is clean while mine is a little dirty
Be a good friend and lend it to me
I promise to return it in a little while
Yours is unique and exciting where mine is boring with no style
My spirit is dark and closed and yours is bright and free
With so many people in line at the gates they just might overlook me
Yours is the real thing mine is just a pretender
Can I borrow your soul and Ill stamp it return to sender
So can I count on you what do you say
