Can I
If my brain should stall
While I write this poem
Will I lose it all?
Can I still atone?
Am I all alone?
Should I go on
Knowing not where
My words all gone
And do I care
Still I write
Still I think
Through the night
Still with ink
One thought
One word
Absurd
But wait
How great
I just caught
A new thought
Changing plot
If I can last
Can just get past
One stanza more
To end this chore
I am not alone
I can still atone
I won’t lose it all
When I wrote this poem
My brain did not stall
