Can Heartaches Be Seen

If one looks closely they will surely appear everywhere, Start with the windows to the spirit for painful visions; Those portholes of any face blinking broken at you, Then tears that crash instead of dropping quietly. Bursting from injured dams, Meant truly for joyous streams. Happy flowing brooks turned to madly rushing rivers; That sadness glistening from once rose filled skin. A missing crease in cheeks telling of lost smiles; No more grins of pearl appear on one's once in love. Just lips turned upside down in longing despair, Lonely chins straining under the weight of it all. Oh yes, heartaches are easily found by caring eyes, From abandoned lashes that flutter like wounded doves. So the next time you see them look at you, Please do the right thing and don't turn away.
