Camping On the Beach

The fire flickers with coastal breeze
Illuminating sand
The orange sun is setting slow
Where swaying palm trees stand

The crashing of the ocean surf
Helps calm the rabid soul
Close your eyes and smell the air
Nirvanas cup is full

The seagulls call has been detained
She's sitting in her nest
Waiting for the rising sun
With babies at her breast

As darkness falls, the air is calm
The ocean sings along
Lulling me into a trance
It's like a sirens song

I lay back on the sandy beach
The stars are shining bright
And smile in my slumber
'Cause there's peace on Earth tonight

I don't think I've ever pictured this kind of serenity until now.
