Camping In Utah

Earths scent fresh as springs morning dew
Water swiftly flowing crystal cold and blue

Sun begins to peak over mountains high
Breeze in the crisp morning air whispers by

Wish this moment to be stored in memory
New day unfolds into continued life's story

Grateful to awaken to a beautiful new day
Leaves from the tall green trees gently sway

Camp fire crackles as the embers grow cool
The water is warming in the natural pool

Suddenly a squirrel scurries somewhere nearby
Look silently at the eagle soaring in the sky

A Deer slips past quietly in the distance
Memories held in treasured remembrance
