Campground of Love
Campground of Love!
Welcome to the Campground of Love!
We pulled in tired and crabby from a long drive
across a hate filled land of concrete highways.
We were ready to "give it" to the next ******* who got in our way.
All we wanted was what we could find
in a place we kind of chose.
Instead we got the
Campground of Love!
With meticulous preparation we set up our new homes.
With paper plates and plastic forks and flowery table cloths
we declare ourselves.
And we smile constantly at passers by
with suspicious loving faces. (Both us and them.)
Never mind we're fat and soft and waddle when we walk.
This is the Campground of Love!
Never mind we're balding and our wives order us about mercilessly.
Never mind the mosquitoes and gnats that celebrate with us.
Never mind the damn generators and RV's everywhere
and the cops and rangers and rules and
my god, the prices!
This is the Campground of Love!
Set aside by an act of God.
Built with our safety paramount,
at as minimal cost as our
Cost/Benefit curves predict.
And managed at minimum wage.
This is the Campground of Love!
Our loved ones and your loved ones.
Together.
This is the Campground of Love!
