Cameo

CAMEO Choker, A velvet ribbon, Adorned with a sweet cameo. Old, Antique, Valued for it's ancient beauty. A special gem to pass down. Priceless. Judy Ball Real cameos are very special. They add a lot of Old World charm to most any outfit and can be worn as a choker or a broach. ( This form of poetry is called "Cameo" and I used the Cameo gem as the subject.) (Cameo is a seven line unrhymed syllabic verse form. The count is: 2,5,8,3,8,7,2) It isn't listed in the form list so I thought I should list it here.

I read poetry for the poetry, not the forms, so this is a great write, we make to big a deal of of what kind of form it is. Just write the poem, then you can make it into the form you want. You do have a gift, no matter what kind of form you use, just keep posting these great poems. thank you for commenting on The Silence of a Falling Star.

I agree James. I'm not big on form either and don't know many forms. I write poetry for poetry's sake. I just know what sounds good and I write it much like you do. Thanks so much my friend. God Bless, JB
