Calm Down Little Bird

Calm down, little bird. Try not to speak.
You must have a bullet in your beak.
Just let me give this poem a tweak.
Cheer up little bird - forever fly.
Forget about the bullet that whizzed by.

I find this to be absolutely hilarious, amidst the bird's justifiable fright... Maybe it was unintentional, but you sure tickled my Funnybone there, David.

the first two lines, i have to admit, struck me as a bit funny. Maybe I was subconsciously remembering joining my dad on hunting trips (a pastime he enjoyed, but I did not, though I did enjoy his company). I wasn't crazy about killing birds. I think I might write a dark comedy about those trips.

Glad you got a laugh - haha, yep, I just thought it would be funny to change a poem on the fly. It's too bad you can't dynamically change real life so easily - or maybe you can?
