Calm Down
Anger is a lone emotional state --
ultimately narcissistic, like hate.
Emotions spark empathy in the gut
even frustration, after a fashion,
can generate genuine concern but
anger does not engender compassion.
It’s as obvious as the reason why
the lyrics of rap never make one cry.
