Calling
Calling
Father God is calling
He’s calling you by name,
He’s calling through confusion
And He’s calling through your pain
He’s calling through your loneliness
And through your sorrow too,
Father God is calling
He’s calling out to you
He calls through the destruction
He calls you through your shame,
His call cuts through the wreckage
And wipes out every stain
His call is not mistaken
For any earthly sound,
And all the lost that heed the call
Will then become the found
For when the Father calls you
His call will not relent,
His call continues, tireless
He calls you to repent
God’s call brings down the mighty
God’s call lifts up the meek,
But do not be mistaken
God’s call is never weak
His call lifts up the feeble arms
And strengthens trembling knees,
Turns cowards into mighty men
His call sets captives free
Now you don’t have to listen
It’s up to you to choose,
But turn your back – ignore His call,
You’re guaranteed to lose
God’s call can heal your sickness
His call can make you well,
He’s crying out to save you
From eternity in hell
This call can make you holy
And lead you into grace,
He calls you to his throne room
And meets you face to face
Father God is calling
Through all that you’ve done wrong,
His call will break your aching heart
And place inside a song
His call can be a still, small voice
Or frighteningly loud,
God’s call lifts up the humble,
And humbles all the proud
Now what will your decision be?
What exactly will you do?
For Father God is calling,
He’s calling now for you.
