Call Me M

Middle of the road
I have come to be called
Debate training in college
Did a number on me
Little gift from the team – T-Shirt
Embroidered with the letter “M”

Other schools’ teams thought it meant Monmouth*
Fooled they were

They didn’t understand
How carefully I researched
Each side of an issue

Run if you see big “M”
On her way to you
And prepare for verbal volleyball
Devonshire will find a lot to debate with you

I am not a good debater and that is a wonderful asset to have. My son likes to debate and I would always lose the debate. He always liked to start them. Enjoyed the poem Carolyn. love phyl

And I would let you win the debate Carolyn! Oh, that would imply that I could win the debate, on second thought...you would just win no matter what :)! This is a fabulous and excellent write my good friend! I really enjoyed this lovely poem that displayed your extreme talent in debate, one that I would not challenge! Stupendous write...Great Work!!

When id comes to politics. I'd rather an "M" than an "R" or a "D". I still believe politicians should have a stamp on their forehead that says "owned and operated by" and then the name of the corporations that purchased them.
