Call Me Crazy

I would rather be alone than left behind, to my own devices, to be uninvited. Dealing with the speculation, frustration, and the degradation, cuz he didn't think I could rise to the occasion. Rub someone the wrong way and cause an abrasion. I'm just another pretty face on display in a hidden case. My words will be misplaced or rearranged to suit your purposes, you will never understand my ways. Just because you call me crazy, doesn't mean the label states me. I got facets like a diamond, blazing. What seems crazy to you is really amazing, miracles dropping down like it's raining. You insist that I'm insane, when your the one acting all deranged cuz everything's falling apart at the seams, when really my life's being rearranged. Without misery Joy is hard to perceive. Some of us walk through life so blind to the beauty that's underneath, when all we really need is a slice of bread, a place to lay our head, have dreams, make plans, and turn them into reality. These roadblocks are harder than what they seem, get so frustrated I just want to scream. Then I remember music soothes the Savage beast, and every soul within the trees. When my voice resounds birds come to here me sing, on the real, it's a miraculous thing. When the planets align I will take my place as one who has seen over time and space in a manner of ways. it's the end of this world, but a new one begins, where love is the light that enlightens within, and the wings of angels seen riding the wind. A testament to the Awakening, don't be scared, it's a beautiful thing.

Thanks again Maureen. It feels great to get positive feedback from other poets. My work has been in notebooks waiting to get out there.
