California Dreaming

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: California Dreaming
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: August/2014

California dreaming
of
a place,

where the river
meets
the sea -

As
I dream travel
up
the coast,

on
Highway 116-

I see
chickens, cows,
horses,

and
goats
along the way -

There are
milk farms,

and
dairy cows
in
the valley,

where
stony cliffs
mirrors the beach -

Such
a beautiful
drive

up
the Pacific
Coast,

passing
small towns
like

Valley Ford,
Bodega Bay,
and
Jenner-By The Sea -

Just
California Dreaming.

I can't think
of
any place
I'd rather
be,

than where
the river
meets
the sea -
