California Dawn
California Dawn
The scent of crushed grapes, scents the air.
Gone, the heatwave, like being crushed by an
enormous bear.
Today, the bluebirds are again on the wing.
Over this emerald state, they joyfully sing.
Newborn gratitude now overflows in my veins.
For in my heart, the Lord always lives and reigns.
An epiphany of joy doth make my spirit dance with wings.
As the sun glistens on my cherished, gleaming, wedding ring!
