Caius

My Dearest Caius,

Within my heart, your name forever sings,
A melody of love that's bittersweet,
Yet on these parchment lines, my truth takes wings,
Confessions penned that fate did once defeat.

The stars above, they know the words unspoken,
The moon, a witness to my silent sighs,
In shadows cast, my heart's desire woken,
A love that blooms beneath unclouded skies.

But shyness held me captive, tongue-tied, still,
As time slipped by and chance slipped through my grasp,
Now fate has woven paths against my will,
And in regret's embrace, my heart held fast.

Though life's design led you to another's hand,
My love for you abides a love that still withstands.

Yours always,
Luna
