As I sit here alone, I will pray for a home, Just like my friend before. We both sat in here, quite filled with such fear, Hoping no denial once more. This family came, they gave you a name, And gently opened the door. You backed up a bit, in the corner to sit, So nervous right down to the core. The sweet little boy, gave you a toy, That he had bought at the store. You slowly came out, and looked all about, At that nice little family of four. You picked up the toy, from that sweet little boy, And looked at me once more, I was so happy for you, you looked so pleased too, It looks like you settled your score. As I sit here alone, I will pray for a home, And one day they’ll walk through that door. Written by:@
