Caged No Longer

I've been afraid for far to long
yet I have ambitions that require
certain attributes from me
they don't particularly allow
me to be cowardly
thus I have to stay strong
I refuse to be caged
I know what I want
and now I'm at the stage
where it's hit or miss
If I'm not in the game
than I'm not an option to be picked
I refuse to be dismissed
because fear got the best of me
I refuse to be caged
I'm getting to an age
where I don't just want to dream
because If I only dream
than I will always be sleep
I want to live
I want to be
I want to know
I want to see
How far my talent can take me
