Caged

For a caged bird
The sky is limited
It’s just those iron bars
Flickering here and there
eating the food provided
It keeps on weaving dreams
Dreams of a flight
of drinking the morning dew
of bathing in sun kissed water
of facing the thunders and showers
of perching on a bough in stark darkness
dreams of freedom
My thoughts like that caged bird
weaving that magic cloth
I wonder what it would be like
To be free……
