Cactus

CACTUS Prickly Cactus... yet so pretty Tough can bloom in gentle beauty. The succulent stubborn spines The cushion endures ..all so fine. Thickets of thistles and thorns The drought of desert ..the dry adorns. With patience ..the thirst survives.. Green Fingers breathe .. ..to keep alive. Timeless love.....charming in chastity An Oasis of water.. in sand of adversity. Dated 17th November 2018 Submitted to the Word Vision Poetry 4 contest Sponsor Vermillion Scythe
