Notes About The Poem

Bye For Now

It's
done.
Christmas
came and went;
the frenzied shopping,
friends and family gatherings.
Glad to see some at least once a year, on holidays.
The day after oft brings a big letdown when all returns to an ordinary day.


Oh
such
choice days
spent, now gone;
but fine thoughts linger.
The first new year resolution;
pray this will occur once again, come next December.
So bye for now, Christmas, as I gather up and pack away jolliest memories.
