Bye Daddy
Goodbye Daddy, I really miss you.
My life will never be the same
My heart will always fill with love
And pride when I hear your name
You always said I should celebrate
When it was time to say goodbye
With people telling your life stories
So I could laugh more than I’d cry.
Everyone’s telling their stories, Daddy.
Stories I’ve never heard
We laugh, we cry…I want to hear them all
I’m clinging to every word.
One of my favorite stories
Is a birthday party you gave for me
Your last dance was with our dog
You believed everybody needs to party
I want to say thanks for being My Daddy
And thanks to everyone in your world
Please keep telling his life of stories
To this Daddy’s Little Girl.
