By the Waters Edge
I feel the little ripples as they wash between my toes
Rushing up to greet me, then out again it goes
Teasing with its cool caress before it runs away
Toying with my senses, inviting me to stay
I watch its subtle movement, enamored by the dance
Embraced by gentle breezes, its motion is enhanced
The peace and the tranquility thrill me to my core
I feel much closer to my world as I sit on the shore
The ebb and flow of water makes my troubles float away
I bask in the solitude, divested of dismay
The therapeutic waters tend my pleasure to complete
When like a little puppy, its wet tongue licks at my feet
