By the Time I'M 18

By the time I'm 7
I have been called a brat
My older brother thinks that
I'm too spoiled for my age

By the time I'm 10
I have lost my innocence
My mother would cry if she heard me say
What the other kids say

By the time I'm 13
I had my first boyfriend
And I believed him
When he called me those names

By the time I'm 17
I have been judged by my looks
I have become depressed
And I don't want to leave my bed

Soon I will be 18
And by the time I'm 18
I hope I am my own person and
I'm not who others have judged me to be
