Notes About The Poem

By the Sea

She knows he’s out there
For she’s heard his words whispered by the sea
It doesn’t always feel so fair
But, she will wait patiently

What he wants, she has to give
She imagines him on a boat afar
For love forever, she knows they can live
Faithfully bright as the moon and every star

A light of inspiration, oh so true
The water reaches closer to her
As she sees visions in the ocean’s blue
In this place where true love will stir

As the calm sea settles her restless heart
There’s one thing she doesn’t know
He is standing right behind her to start
Their new life together, he will show
