By the Lake
We live in the seed yet to be planted
content to be the parents of all this.
It is good to let our eyes dream
over the water together,
you with your cool hand in mine.
I watch you ascend up into the blue
as magical as any eagle chasing
it own invisible shadow,
wondering why a woman
so very warm within me
when we roll in the ripple and spume of us
how she can feel so pleasantly refreshing
on a warm summers day.
Of course, we are from over there,
we are above the trees watching
each other’s daydreams.
This light-show is just for us
there is no one else.
The day beautifies itself
as we dive into the lake to drown
only to spin away as more flashes
of amazements,
yet like river rocks
we remain still in the rush and flow
bound to one breathing kiss of intimacy.
Up in the treetops we have painted the sky above
with all the possibilities that surface
under the closed eyelids of lovers.
