By Love Possessed

..........By Love Possessed........

Life's moments pass too swiftly.
And with them..our lives, too.
I have no secrets from you
except the biggest one.
How truly and breathtakingly deeply,
I have always loved you!

It came as a shock to me, too
You must think me a silly.
For far more than a moment or two, 
I wondered, too!
Who's this strange lady in love with 
a so average looking a man, is she daft?

No, I am not, my beloved man!
For all I see and sense is you.
When the stars first show their pageantry.
or when the California sun gets born again 
on yet another day.

I long for you always,in exquisite agony.
For decades so awake to my love for you.
Our lives never far apart. 
Nor in spirit.. Not!

You are my day and my night.
In heaven we will converge.
And promenade along streets of gold.
In silken clothes,eternally blessed
In eternity, by love possessed!
My amaranth, Greek god and his
forever amorous, goddess.
