By His Wounds

silence...
 faint whisper
an inner intense feeling of love
the peace that passes all understanding
Jesus you shine as the light to hold
a beacon of light to a hurting world in need of love
coming down from that hand from above
we flirt with sin then soon discover
you cover your face in remorse
but then we throw off the covers with a wonder
a delight to behold my Jesus and me
by his wounds I have been set free
living in a land of make believe
when one chooses to live by sight we live in fear
for I shed a tear to help numb its inner pain
not having you in my arms is driving me insane
a deep love from up above that will not let me go
